Tom Scott Memorial 10 Mile

Inverclyde Athletics Club’s John Bell got the road running season off to a flyer, finishing third at the Tom Scott 10 Mile Memorial Race at Strathclyde Park.

John was clear of the rest of the field, accompanied only by eventual winner Hamish Hickey of Central AC and Cambuslang’s Fraser Stewart.

He stuck with the front two for the majority of the race, finishing 23 seconds behind Hickey in a time of 49min 34sec, breaking the difficult 50-minute barrier.
