Scottish Student Athletics Outdoor Championships

Inverclyde Athletic Club’s Peter Bradshaw struck lightning twice in one day, with two gold

medals at the Scottish Student Athletics Outdoor Championships in Grangemouth over the

1,500 metres and 5,000m distances.

Competing for Edinburgh University, Peter out-sprinted Jamie Burns and Magnus Tait of

Glasgow University in the men’s 1,500m, finishing in a time of 3min 57.72.

His most impressive performance came in the men’s 5,000m, breaking his own personal

best and the former Championship record.

Peter was pushed all the way to the line by his Edinburgh Uni teammate Finlay Ross-

Davie, ultimately defeating him with a time of 14:54.65, with Stirling University’s Alastair

Marshall completing the podium.
